International Women’s Day : Large number of women held a bike rally to convey the message of women’s empowerment

Women and Child Development Minister, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Women Commission, and Chairperson of Chhattisgarh Child Protection Commission participated in the event

Raipur, 27 February . On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a large number of women held a bike rally from Raipur’s Telibandha Lake to convey the message of the empowerment of women. In the rally, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhediya, Chairperson of CG State Women Commission Dr. Kiranmayee Nayak, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Mrs. Tej Kunwar Netam, President of District Panchayat Raipur Mrs. Domeshwari Verma, Director of Women and Child Development Department Mrs. Divya Mishra, Chief of UNICEF in the state Mr. Job Zachariah, and many public representatives and women were present. They gave the message of Gadhbo Suposhit Chhattisgarh and ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’.

The rally started from the Telibandha Lake in Raipur and covered a distance of 15 kilometers while passing Ghadi Chowk, Amapara, Station Chowk, Fafadih Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk, and Canal Road to end at the Telibandha Lake again.
