Raipur, 01 February. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to Chhattisgarh’s prominent journalist and former MP late Mr. Chandulal Chandrakar on his death anniversary on February 2. Remembering the invaluable contribution of Mr. Chandrakar, Mr. Baghel said that Chandulal ji was elected as a Member of Parliament several times in the Lok Sabha. He did numerous significant works for the development of the country and the state by taking on the responsibility of the ministerial post of many important departments. As the President of the ‘Chhattisgarh Rajya Nirmaan Sarvdaliya Manch’, he also gave a new direction to the Chhattisgarh statehood movement.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Chandulal ji is also known for his value-based fair and fearless journalism. He was also a national level editor and he raised his voice on many burning issues. With his intense personality and fearless voice in journalism, he brought numerous laurels to Chhattisgarh. The state government has established Chandulal Fellowship program in the field of journalism in his memory so that value-based journalism can be promoted. The Chief Minister said that the son of Chhattisgarh’s soil Chandulal ji’s spirit of service towards the motherland,and his invaluable thoughts will always inspire the coming generations.
