- History of the Sindhi Community Reflects Courage, Valour and Self-Respect: Chief Minister Shri Sai
Raipur, March 16, 2026// Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the cultural programme ‘Chandra Ji Raat, Sindhin Jo Melo – Anand Melo’ organised by the Chhattisgarh Sindhi Seva Mahapanchayat at the BTI Ground in Raipur late on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the history of the Sindhi community is a story of courage and valour. He noted that the Sindhi community endured immense suffering during the tragedy of Partition. In those difficult times, he said, their forefathers left behind their homes and property but never abandoned their dignity or their spirit of hard work. The community has shown the world how perseverance can take a person from nothing to the highest achievements.
Chief Minister said the Sindhi community has played an important role in the development of Chhattisgarh. Whether through the Chamber of Commerce or through businesses across the state, their hard work has contributed significantly to the growth of the economy. He added that the community not only runs businesses but also generates employment for thousands of people. He said the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh by 2047 would also see a significant contribution from the Sindhi community.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in the past two and a half years the government has fulfilled most of the promises made under the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and continues to work in that direction.
He said the enthusiasm visible at the BTI Ground reflected how deeply the Sindhi community remains connected with its roots. Events such as ‘Sindhiyat Jo Melo’ play an important role in connecting the younger generation with their culture, cuisine and the Sindhi language.
Chief Minister said that only a few days earlier he had the opportunity to seek blessings from saints at the sacred Shadani Darbar. The affection and warmth he experienced there, he said, was the same spirit he felt at the event. He added that this unity remains the greatest strength of the Sindhi community.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended advance greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the Cheti Chand festival.
