Shri Subhash Thakur assumed charge as the Head of Project (HOP), NTPC Lara on 03rd February 2026. Prior to this assignment, he was serving as the Head of NTPC Koldam Hydro Project located in Himachal Pradesh.
An accomplished Electrical Engineer from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, Shri Thakur joined NTPC in 1993 as an Executive Trainee. A keen learner and dedicated professional, he pursued his M.Tech in Power Generation Technology from IIT Delhi, further strengthening his expertise in the power sector.
Shri Thakur brings with him rich and diverse experience spanning over 33 years in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Operation & Maintenance, Fuel Management, Power Efficiency, and Environmental Protection. During his distinguished career, he has held several key positions and served at various NTPC projects including NTPC Rihand, EOC Noida, Darlipalli, and the Koldam Hydro Project.
Notably, Shri Thakur led NTPC Koldam, the first hydroelectric project of NTPC in Himachal Pradesh, marking an important milestone in the organization’s hydro power journey.
With his vast experience and dynamic leadership, NTPC Lara is poised to benefit greatly under his guidance in the days ahead.
