Paddy procurement extends for two days, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai instructs officials to make arrangements for extended dates in the interest of farmers

Raipur, February 03, 2026: Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government has provided significant relief in the paddy procurement process, giving top priority to farmers’ interests across the state. Under this decision, farmers belonging to three specific categories have been permitted to sell their paddy for an additional two days, up to 05 and 06 February 2026.
As per the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, three categories of farmers will be eligible to sell paddy during this extended period. These include farmers who applied for procurement tokens after 10 January 2026 but whose verification could not be completed, farmers who applied after 10 January 2026 and were found to possess paddy after verification, and farmers who received tokens on 28 January 2026, 29 January 2026 and 30 January 2026 but were unable to sell their paddy on the scheduled dates due to unavoidable reasons.
To ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience during the extended procurement period, concerned officials have also been directed to make adequate arrangements for gunny bags and labourers at procurement centres.
This decision of the state government reflects its sensitivity towards farmers and its strong commitment to ensuring the safe and smooth sale of agricultural produce.
