Raipur, January 08, 2025/ A 60-year-old unmarried worker was assured issuance of a ration card after he raised the matter during the Jandarshan programme with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday.
Shri Hanumant Rao, a resident of Tatyapara ward in Raipur, told Chief Minister that he has been living in the area for nearly six decades but does not have a ration card. As a result, he is unable to access benefits under food and other welfare schemes.
Shri Rao said that his name was earlier included in his parents’ ration card, which enabled him to avail benefits under government schemes. Following their death, his name was removed from the card, and as he is unmarried and lives alone, he remains without a ration card.
After hearing the grievance, Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure that a ration card is issued to Shri Rao at the earliest.
