Bilaspur : The Golden Reunion–2025 of the 1992–93 batch of former students of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Bilaspur, was organised with great enthusiasm and emotion on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The day-long programme was held from 9 am to 7 pm at Hotel Green Chawla, Mopka, Bilaspur.
Former students from Bilaspur as well as from different parts of the country including Mumbai, Pune, Raipur and Bengaluru gathered to witness this memorable occasion. A total of 37 alumni participated in the reunion. Prominent among them were Manish Khare, Prashant Pandey, Nidhi Juneja, Jitendra Shrivastava, Manju Pandey, Girish Kurre, Vikram Bakre, Dr Nitin Juneja, Vineet Chauhan, Devdatt Kulkarni, Prafull Pandey (Mumbai), Bhavna Narang (Raipur), Swati Nirgudkar and Rahul Pasarkar (Pune), Sudhanshu Dase (Bengaluru) and other classmates.
The programme began with a solemn tribute to departed classmates Seema Singh, Pratima Devangan, Veena Shukla, Rajendra Soni, Ravi Chandrakar, Shashank Joshi, Arvind Upadhyay, V Shatish Rao, Amit Gajbhiye and Dheeraj Singh.
Thereafter, participants introduced themselves and shared nostalgic memories, experiences and interesting anecdotes from their school days. Several fun-filled activities and traditional games such as lucky games, jalebi race, pithoo, balloon bursting and pair-making were organised, creating an atmosphere of joy and childlike excitement. Cultural performances including dance and music added to the liveliness of the event.
The reunion concluded with a collective cake-cutting ceremony marking the 50th anniversary, followed by gift exchange. The alumni bid an emotional farewell, carrying sweet memories of the past and a promise to meet again.
The Golden Reunion proved to be a celebration of lifelong friendship and togetherness, leaving behind unforgettable memories for all who attended.
