Korba: St. Xavier’s Public School, Korba celebrated its 25th Annual Function ‘Ritambhara’ with great enthusiasm, dignity and cultural splendour on December 23, 2025. The programme, held on the school campus, showcased a harmonious blend of academic excellence, cultural richness and moral values. The event witnessed the gracious presence of parents, students, teachers and distinguished guests, creating an atmosphere of joy and pride.
The programme was graced by Sanjoo Devi Rajput, Mayor of Korba Municipal Corporation, as the Chief Guest, while noted social worker Jurawan Singh Thakur attended as the Special Guest. The function was presided over by the School Chairman Pramod Jha. The presence of Director Pranjal Jha, Manager Dr. D.K. Anand, In-charge Principal Rita Mukherjee and the entire school fraternity added dignity to the occasion.
The ceremony commenced with floral tributes and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswati. The guests were warmly welcomed by the Head Boy, Head Girl and members of the Student Council through badge presentation and sapling plantation.

Presenting the annual report, Director Pranjal Jha highlighted the school’s academic achievements. He informed that every year students of the institution successfully qualify in IIT, medical and other competitive examinations and are serving in reputed institutions across India and abroad. He also emphasized the effective implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and regular CBSE training programmes for teachers.
Addressing the gathering, Special Guest Jurawan Singh Thakur said that annual functions provide a platform for students to display their talent, creativity and confidence while reflecting the overall academic and cultural progress of the institution. Chief Guest Sanjoo Devi Rajput appreciated the excellent CBSE results of Classes 10 and 12, calling it a matter of pride for the city of Korba.
On the occasion, the school’s annual magazine ‘Aesthetica – Part 9’ was released, and the foundation project of the new Pre-Primary Building was formally inaugurated. Cultural performances by students from Nursery to Class XII, including dances, dance-dramas, musical presentations, poetry recitations and socially relevant themes, captivated the audience.
Fifteen students who secured more than 90 per cent marks in the CBSE Board examinations were felicitated during the programme. Exhibitions related to Science, Commerce, Arts, Sports and Eco Club also remained a major attraction.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by teacher Shreyashi Sarkar, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the grand conclusion of the 25th Annual Function.
