Bilaspur, March 26. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organized a Consumer Meet at its headquarters in Bilaspur on Wednesday, March 25, 2025. The objective of the meeting was to establish better coordination with coal consumers. Coal India Limited has been encouraging its subsidiary companies to conduct such Consumer Meets, and in line with this initiative, SECL hosted the meeting.
Presiding over the meeting, SECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Shri J.P. Dwivedi, emphasized that SECL prioritizes the interests of its consumers and is fully committed to ensuring the timely supply of high-quality coal. He congratulated the Sales & Marketing Department team for organizing the event and encouraged them to conduct similar engagements in the future.
SECL’s Director Technical (Operations-Project/Planning), Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar, addressed the attendees and stressed the importance of resolving consumer issues promptly. Meanwhile, Director (Finance), Shri D. Sunil Kumar, assured the consumers that SECL is dedicated to addressing their financial concerns effectively.
At the beginning of the meeting, General Manager (Sales & Marketing), Shri T.S. Bahera, highlighted the need to further strengthen the relationship between SECL and its consumers.
The Consumer Meet witnessed the participation of over 200 representatives from more than 70 coal-consuming companies. Various aspects related to coal supply, quality management, and enhanced coordination were discussed during the session. Consumers also provided feedback and suggestions, which SECL assured would be duly considered for implementation.
