Bilaspur, April 14. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) celebrated the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at its Headquarters On April 14, 2025.
The event was graced by CMD Mr. Harish Duhan as Chief Guest, along with Director Technical (Operations & Project/Planning) Mr. N. Franklin Jaykumar, Director (Personnel) Mr. Biranchi Das, and Chief Vigilance Officer Mr. Himanshu Jain as Special Guests. The celebration witnessed the presence of department heads, trade union representatives, SC/ST Association and CISTEA officials, employees, women, and children.
In his address, CMD Mr. Harish Duhan paid rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, calling him a visionary and a rare personality born once in a century. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions to the entire nation and humanity, emphasizing how his socially driven thoughts sparked a new wave of consciousness and brought significant positive changes in Indian society. He also underlined the importance of drawing inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s life to overcome adversities and achieve success.
Representatives of trade unions also addressed the gathering, sharing insightful reflections on Dr. Ambedkar’s life and expressing gratitude to SECL management for organizing the event.
As a part of the celebration, SECL management also distributed chairs, storage boxes, and sweets at Mata Rani Ki Kutiya Old Age Home in Bilaspur.
