Power Employees Get Assurance on OPS

Korba, April 12. Chhattisgarh State Power Generation and Distribution Company Chairman Dr. Rohit Yadav has assured the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) following a meeting with the Power Generation Employees Union. The OPS will benefit around 7,000 employees who have been left out.

The union also raised several other demands, including technical allowance for all technical employees, an end to discrimination against land oustees, prompt issuance of promotion orders, and restructuring of posts. Dr. Yadav assured the union that all demands will be considered seriously.

Union General Secretary Shabbir Memon said the Chairman’s response was positive and the demands would be fulfilled soon. The meeting was attended by Generation Company MD Sanjeev Katiyar, Chief Engineer Praveen Srivastava, and union representatives CS Dubey, Narayan Rathore, Brijesh Vishwakarma, and Amar Rathore.

The Chairman has directed officials to initiate the process of issuing pending promotion orders and assured personal attention to the post restructuring issue. This assurance is expected to boost employee morale and productivity.
