ITBP opened a New Camp at Bedmakoti in Abujhmad Area

Kondagaon,24 March, 2025: For Fulfilling the resolution of the Government of India to eliminate the Naxalism by March 2026, the 41st Battalion, ITBP, Kondagaon, under the able leadership of Shri Rana Yudhvir Singh, DIG, Tactical Sector Headquarters (Bhubaneswar), ITBP, has taken a concrete step towards the elimination of Naxalism by establishing a new camp at Bedmakoti, about 5 km ahead of Kutul, which is known as the stronghold of Naxalites in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur district in Chhattisgarh.

The area of Bedmakoti is profoundly affected by Naxals and there will be a menace to the lives of the Jawans at every step. The establishment of a new camp in this area is being perceived as a major success of the security forces.

Keeping in mind the Naxal eradication mission of the Government of India, ITBP is continuously establishing new camps in Abujhmad area and every effort is being made to connect the population living there with the main stream of the country by providing them a fear-free environment. Apart from providing security in the area, Himveers of ITBP are also providing beneficial information about the welfare schemes of the Government of India as well as State Government to the local populates. The continuous presence of ITBP in Abujhmad area has restricted the nefarious intentions of the Naxalites and the people of the area are feeling safe.

Shri Singh said that we have been constantly getting guidance from Shri O.P. Yadav, IG, Central Frontier, ITBP for establishing this camp. He also acknowledged Shri Narendra Singh, Commandant and Himveers of 41st Battalion, ITBP for successfully establishing Bedmakoti Camp and also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Shri Sunderraj P., IG Baster Range, Shri Amit Kamble, DIG Kanker Range, Shri Prabhat Kumar, S.P. Narayanpur, DRG and Chhattisgarh Police teams for their active cooperation. Shri Amit Bhati, Commandant 53rd Battalion and Shri Rajeev Gupta, Commandant, 45th Battalion were also present on this occasion.
