High-Level Committee Constituted to Strengthen Transparency in Land-for-Employment Cases<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has provided employment to 754 eligible landowners during the recently concluded financial year 2025\u201326 under its land acquisition and rehabilitation policy, in accordance with laid-down norms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In continuation of its commitment to transparency and fairness, SECL has constituted a high-level Standing Review Committee to further strengthen oversight in matters related to employment against land acquisition. This initiative forms part of the company\u2019s ongoing efforts towards vigilance, good governance, and system strengthening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n During FY 2025\u201326, SECL acquired over 300 hectares of land. Eligible families under this process are being extended benefits as per the company\u2019s established policies. Ensuring the credibility and integrity of this process remains a top priority for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As per the official order, the committee will be chaired by the General Manager (Land Revenue), SECL Headquarters, Bilaspur, with General Manager (Planning & Projects) and General Manager (Manpower) as members. The committee will be responsible for scrutinizing applications and documents, examining complaints in a fair and time-bound manner, and submitting recommendations to the competent authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SECL has consistently upheld high standards of transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance. The constitution of this committee is a proactive step aimed at strengthening institutional mechanisms and ensuring that no irregularities affect the legitimate rights of genuine beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It has also come to notice that in some instances, baseless or misleading complaints have been made against employees. In this regard, it is clarified that the company is empowered to take appropriate legal action against any malicious or factually incorrect complaints.
