Bilaspur, July 23. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has taken a significant step towards making its coal dispatch system more transparent, efficient, and effective. As part of its Preventive Vigilance initiatives, the Vigilance Department has established dedicated Truck Dispatch Monitoring Control Rooms at SECL’s major mines\u2014Gevra, Dipka, Kusmunda, and Raigarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These Control Rooms have been developed entirely in-house by SECL, reflecting the organization’s technical capability, spirit of innovation, and effective inter-departmental coordination. Equipped with real-time digital dashboards, the Control Rooms enable continuous monitoring of truck movement, dispatch status, and potential operational bottlenecks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative aims not only to detect irregularities but also to bring about systemic improvements by preventing situations that may lead to unnecessary delays, operational inefficiencies, or lack of transparency in the dispatch process. Real-time monitoring will facilitate early identification of potential bottlenecks, enabling timely interventions and better coordination among all stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative is expected to significantly reduce Truck Turnaround Time (TAT), minimize delays in vehicle movement, and improve the overall efficiency of coal dispatch and evacuation. It will also facilitate prompt, data-driven, and informed decision-making through the availability of real-time operational information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative reflects SECL Vigilance Department’s continued commitment to strengthening transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency in line with the spirit of the Central Vigilance Commission’s (CVC) Preventive Vigilance framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
