Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted the unity, organisation, social awareness and contribution of the Kurmi community towards the development of the nation and the state. He said that a united and empowered society forms the foundation of a strong nation. During the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced several important development initiatives in irrigation, roads, and religious tourism for the region. Earlier, he visited Jaleshwar Mahadev Dham, where he performed Jalabhishek and prayed for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the history of the Kurmi community has been \u201cdeeply inspiring and glorious.\u201d He noted that great personalities such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played historic roles in strengthening national unity, security and nation-building. He said that the Kurmi community is known as a hardworking, progressive and socially aware community that has established a distinct identity in agriculture, education, administration and social leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is witnessing a new phase of \u201ccultural and spiritual renaissance.\u201d He said that the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has emerged as a symbol of faith for millions of Indians. He added that through the Ram Lala Darshan Yojana, the state government is facilitating pilgrimages to Ayodhya for devotees, and nearly 42,000 pilgrims have benefited from the initiative so far. The Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana has also been restarted, under which senior citizens are being provided opportunities to visit 19 major pilgrimage sites across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that over the past two-and-a-half years, the state government has worked to translate \u201cModi Ki Guarantee\u201d into reality on the ground. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, 27 instalments have already been released, ensuring that eligible women beneficiaries in the state have received Rs. 27,000 each directly into their bank accounts. He further stated that irrigation projects worth Rs. 10,500 crore have been approved in the state, providing a major boost to the agricultural sector. Rapid progress is also being made in expanding and modernising railway infrastructure across Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister stated that, in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi\u2019s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Chhattisgarh Government is working in a planned manner, guided by a comprehensive vision document, to transform the state into a developed state. He said that the government is also working to develop the state\u2019s five major Shakti Peeths and connect them through a \u201c religious and cultural corridor.\u201d He added that societies that remain educated and organised continue to establish \u201cnew dimensions of social and economic progress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the true strength of any society lies in its unity and organisation. He said that a community inspired by leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel naturally becomes progressive and respected. He called upon society members to further strengthen education, organisation and social harmony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rajya Sabha MP Smt Laxmi Verma said that the greatest strength of the Kurmi community lies in its unity, organisation and mutual trust. She said that where trust, values and character are nurtured together, society continues to progress and guide future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Takhatpur MLA Shri Dharamjeet Singh said that the Kurmi community is one of the major progressive and aware communities of Chhattisgarh, with a strong presence in almost every village of the state. Pandariya MLA Smt Bhavana Bohra said that the Kurmi community is recognised for its hard work, dedication and progressive outlook, with members excelling in various fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National President of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Kurmi Samaj Shri Sarvesh Katiyar said that the organisational tradition of the Kurmi community is more than 132 years old. He said that through hard work, social values and unity, the community has established a distinct identity across the country.
