Raigarh, Dec. 14 . Energy Conservation Week 2025 was celebrated at NTPC Lara from 8th to 14th December 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from employees and their families. The week-long celebrations concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for successful participants.
The prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest, Shri Keshab Chandra Singha Roy, General Manager (O&M), in the presence of Shri Ashok Kumar Mishra, GM (Operation & Fuel Management), Shri Hemant Pawgi, GM (Project), and other Heads of Departments.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Keshab Chandra Singha Roy stressed the urgent need for energy conservation to ensure a bright and sustainable future for the next generation. He emphasized that responsible energy use today would help protect natural resources and reduce environmental impact.
On the occasion, various awareness-generation activities such as a walkathon and multiple competitions were organized to spread awareness among employees, housewives, children, and associates. Competitions including drawing, painting, essay writing, and quizzes witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, housewives, school children, and associates.

As a responsible Public Sector Undertaking, NTPC Lara has adopted several energy conservation measures in daily operations, civil structures, and general practices. Emphasis has been laid on the optimal use of natural sunlight for daytime illumination to reduce electricity consumption and promote sustainable energy practices.
