Korba, August 15, 2025: DAV Mukhyamantri Public School, Kharmora, celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with a vibrant and inspiring program that showcased the nation’s rich cultural heritage and patriotic spirit.
The celebration commenced with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony, led by the school’s Principal, Mr. Hemanto Mukherjee. In his address, he emphasized the significance of freedom and the importance of every citizen’s role in building a progressive and prosperous India.
A highlight of the day was the Patriotic Song Competition, which saw students deliver passionate performances that resonated with national pride. The competition was judged by a distinguished panel of experts, including Mohammad Anish, a revered singing teacher from Maulana Azad College, Bilaspur, and Dr. Deepa Jena, a respected Ayurvedic physician from Balco, Korba.
The true charm of the program, however, was the heartwarming performance by the youngest students. The pre-primary classes captivated the audience with a synchronized patriotic dance that was a joyful and innocent expression of love for the country.
