Korba, Dec. 08. CMD, SECL Shri Harish Duhan visited Gevra Area today and undertook a comprehensive review of production, productivity, and ongoing infrastructure development at Asia’s largest coal mine.
He first inspected the 42 CuM departmental patch, followed by visits to KCC, Sainik Mining, PNC wnd other Contractual patches, including an on-ground assessment at the coal face.
Subsequently, he took stock of land acquisition progress and the development status of R&R sites.
A detailed review meeting was held with officials from HEC, RITES, the SECL Siding team, and Area HoDs, focusing on critical infrastructure enhancements.
Status of FMC connectivity, CHP–SILO integration, and other key projects was also examined.
CMD further visited the new substation of Gevra Area, appreciating the efforts toward strengthening power infrastructure to support mining operations.
Reiterating SECL’s commitment to national energy security, CMD emphasized the action plan to achieve the FY 2025-26 annual production and dispatch targets from this flagship mine in the remaining days .
