Paddy procurement is underway across all districts. Mahasamund district currently leads with 15 lakh 19 thousand 650 quintals of paddy procured. Gariaband stands second with 6 lakh 73 thousand 495 quintals, while Bilaspur has secured third position with 6 lakh 73 thousand 65 quintals. Kanker district continues in fourth place with 6 lakh 15 thousand 431 quintals. Districts procuring more than five lakh quintals include Dhamtari and Mungeli, while Surajpur, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Bemetara, Balod and Kondagaon have each crossed the four lakh quintal mark. A total of 8 lakh 97 thousand 779 tokens have been issued to farmers so far. For the upcoming procurement day on December 8, more than 50,000 tokens have already been allotted.
The newly launched online Token Tuhar App has ensured significant convenience for farmers in obtaining tokens and selling paddy. Farmers have expressed satisfaction with the arrangements being made at procurement centres. Strict monitoring is being conducted by state and district-level teams to prevent illegal transportation, storage, or sale of paddy within the state and in border areas.
As per the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, payment at support price has begun simultaneously with procurement. For this purpose, the Chhattisgarh Government had already provided a bank guarantee of Rs. 26,200 crore to MARKFED. Adequate arrangements have been made at all centres to ensure that farmers do not face any difficulty in selling paddy. Officers have been deployed at every procurement centre for monitoring. Senior administrative officials at the state level and district officers are conducting continuous inspections to review procurement operations and on-ground arrangements.
Strict vigilance is being maintained to prevent any irregularity in MSP procurement. Officers have been stationed at check posts to prevent the entry of paddy from outside the state, and surprise checks are being conducted on cargo vehicles at various locations.
Farmers say that the online system introduced through the Token Tuhar App has made obtaining tokens and selling paddy far more convenient. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and his farmer-centric policies, farmers are receiving fair prices for their hard-earned produce. As per the government’s commitment, procurement is being carried out at the rate of 21 quintals per acre and at Rs. 3,100 per quintal under the Krishak Unnati Yojana.
