Raigarh, Nov., 27. NTPC Lara observed Constitution Day on 26 November 2025 with solemnity and
enthusiasm, reaffirming its commitment to the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
The programme began with the collective reading of the Preamble, led by Shri Ravi Shankar,
Chief General Manager (Project Construction) and Shri Ashok Kumar Mishra, General
Manager (Operation) senior officials, followed by employees taking a pledge to uphold
constitutional duties in their personal and professional lives.


Speaking on the occasion, Shri Shankar, highlighted the significance of Constitution Day,
commemorating the adoption of the Constitution in 1949 and honouring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s
pivotal role as the chief architect of the Constitution. Employees were encouraged to imbibe
the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity in their day-to-day conduct.


As part of the observance, awareness programmes like essay writing, drawing, speech
competition were organised on the importance of Indian constitution and how it drives the
largest democratic country. In the evening hour a programme was organised in association
of SC/ST welfare association The successful participants were honoured by Shri Ravi
Shankar, Chief General Manager, Shri Ashok Mumar Mishra, General Manager (Operation &
Fuel Management) Shri Jakir khan, AGM (HR), Shri Himansu Kumar Behera, DGM (HR),
Principal Gurukul School, Office bearers of SC/ST association, teachers, parents and
students were present in large numbers.
