Safety First month long celebrations at NTPC Laras

To inculcate safety practices as a regular activityvarious initiatives are taken by NTPC Lara. In connection to this, November month was celebrated as Safety month. Under the banner of Safety month various activities were organized during this period. Different awareness programmes on safety practices were organised in each week. Started with “Workplace Safety” on first week, training for use of fire fighting gadgets were organized during second week, road safety campaign was organized during third week while emergency management was conducted at the last week of November. Apart from all these activities “safety quiz” competition was organized among employees at Tarang auditorium, where Shri Alok Gupta, ED, Lara and Shri ES Phani Kumar, GM (Operation) awarded the participants. Under road safety awareness campaign drivers of coal transporting vehicle and other drivers engaged under various vehicle contract was informed about traffic rule and meaning of different traffic signs. Besides, training was imparted to employees working on hight, electric work, material handling, chemical and fire safety.
