A third grader was all smiles when she got her new mobile phone to attend online classes gifted to her by Raigarh SP Santosh Kumar Singh.
Due to unavailability of mobile phone, Khushi Devangan, a class 3 student was unable to attend her online classes and was unhappy for not being able to attend her classes. This was bought to the SP by a local journalist. It was informed that Khushi’s father has passed away and her mother also doesn’t live with her. She is growing up under the care of her uncle. Her online classes started from June 15 and her guardians are not able to afford a smartphone for her classes.
SP asked the journalist to bring the girl to the office. The lil munchkin was bought to SP’s office on Wednesday morning accompanied by her uncle Premshankar Devangan. She who was presented with a new Android smartphone phone by SP Santosh Singh. He gave her best wishes for her studies and future endeavors. Khushi’s uncle also thanked the Superintendent of Police and the journalist for their support.
Meanwhile, studies through online medium have started in the state for the academic session 2021-22 from Tuesday. In a bid to ensure that the studies of the students are not affected due to lack of smartphone, many institutions along with the administration came forward to distribute mobiles to the girl students. During the first wave of Covid-19, 60 new smart phones from the police office were presented to the girl students for studies by SP Santosh Kumar Singh.
