Raipur 12 January 2024/ In a heartwarming turn of events, Smt. Santoshi Durga, a resident of Bhagat Singh ward number 05 in Narharpur Janpad Panchayat of North Bastar Kanker district, finds herself amidst an extraordinary moment of honour. Smt. Santoshi, who works as a sweeper assisting in postmortem procedures, has been extended an invitation to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, Smt. Santoshi expressed her emotions, saying, “Shri Ram ne ungli pakad kar mujhe Ayodhya bulaya hai” (Lord Shri Ram has invited me to Ayodhya by holding my finger). Her eyes filled with tears of happiness as she thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for this unexpected honor. “The work of a person doing a small job in the mortuary got such a big respect. I feel very fortunate”, she said.
Smt. Santoshi’s family, including her husband Shri Ravindra Durga, consists of six members. A sweeper by profession, Smt. Santoshi has a moving history of assisting in over 700 postmortem works at the health center in Narharpur. She received the invitation on January 6 from the Shri Ram Mandir Trust. Speaking about this unexpected invite, she said, “I had never imagined, even in my dreams, that an invitation would come from Ayodhya, the birthplace of Ram Lalla. This is the most unforgettable moment of my life.”
The entire Narharpur is rejoicing with Smt. Santoshi, as locals came forward to congratulate and honor her. Smt. Santoshi sees the invitation as an opportunity to pray for the prosperity and progress of her community after having the privilege of Lord Shri Ram’s Darshan.
