Bijapur district records maximum while Surguja district records minimum rainfall in the state
Raipur 14 September 2023// According to the information gathered by the State Revenue and Disaster Management Department through the State Control Room, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 890.1 mm from June 1, 2023, till now. Analyzing the rainfall data from June 1 to the morning of September 14, the Bijapur district experienced the highest average rainfall of 1537.8 mm, while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average of 397.4 mm during the same period.
As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the average rainfall recorded since June 1 varies across districts. In Surajpur district, an average rainfall of 718.8 mm has been registered, while Balrampur has experienced 811.7 mm, Jashpur has recorded 714.0 mm, and the Koriya and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur districts have recorded 833.5 mm and 829.0 mm of average rainfall respectively.
Similarly, 979.4 mm in Raipur district, 899.6 mm in Balodabazar, 790.5 mm in Gariaband, 903.9 mm in Mahasamund, 852.6 mm in Dhamtari, 973.2 mm in Bilaspur, 1097.5 mm in Mungeli, 1012.7 mm in Raigarh and Sarangarh- Bilaigarh records an average rainfall of 801.2 mm respectively. Average rainfall of 810.4 mm was recorded in Janjgir-Champa,795.1 mm in Sakti, 875.6 mm in Korba, 930.5 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi,749.8 mm in Durg, 713.3 mm in Kabirdham district, 967.5 mm in Rajnandgaon, 1134.6 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 905.8 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 869.6 mm in Balod, 711.3 mm in Bemetara, 944.7 mm in Bastar, 963.7 mm in Kondagaon, 878.2 mm in Kanker, 858.4 mm in Narayanpur, 967.8 mm in Dantewada and 1286.9 mm in Sukma since June 1.
