Average rainfall of 654.9 mm recorded in Chhattisgarh so far

Raipur, 18 August 2023/ In accordance with the information compiled by the State Level Control Room set up by the State Government’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 654.9 mm since June 1, 2023. As per the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 1, 2023, to today, August 18, morning, the highest average rainfall of 1107.0 mm has been recorded in Bijapur district and the lowest average rainfall of 310.3 mm in Surguja district.

According to the information received from the state-level flood control room, since June 1, an average rainfall of 599.3 mm has been recorded in Surajpur district, 614.7 mm in Balrampur, 521.5 mm in Jashpur, 631.6 mm in Koriya, and 644.7 mm in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.

Similarly, average rainfall of 775.3 mm in Raipur district, 661.6 mm in Balodabazar, 623.0 mm in Gariaband, 724.6 mm in Mahasamund, 652.9 mm in Dhamtari, 645.7 mm in Bilaspur, 835.4 mm in Mungeli, 715.8 mm in Raigarh, and 559.3 mm in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh were recorded. Average rainfall of 528.2 mm in Janjgir-Champa, 532.5 mm in Sakti, 639.4 mm in Korba, 608.5 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, and 540.5 mm in Durg were recorded. Additionally, the remaining districts recorded the following average rainfall: 508.0 mm in Kabirdham district, 720.0 mm in Rajnandgaon, 828.9 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 688.1 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 716.1 mm in Balod, 516.4 mm in Bemetara, 699.2 mm in Bastar, 502.1 mm in Kondagaon, 594.2mm in Kanker recorded, 589.5 mm in Narayanpur, 789.7mm in Dantewada, and 789.7 mm in Sukma was recorded since June 1.
