Raipur: Unemployment allowance is helping the youngsters to enhance their talent, enabling them to purchase books and other materials for preparation of competitive exams

Unemployment allowance scheme, commenced on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, is supporting  the youngsters looking for employment. Youngster coming from weak financial background face a lot of difficulties while preparing for competitive exams. But with the unemployment allowance scheme, these youngsters are receiving the much needed financial support for their exam preparations, along with the opportunity to enhance their skills.
Ms. Meenu Chaurasia, living in Gram Panchayat Chainpur of Manendragarh development block, is also an unemployed youth who is preparing for competitive exams. She told that the financial condition of her family is weak. And it is difficult for her to arrange for the books, stationery and other things required for the exam preparation. But with the unemployment allowance, it has become easier for her to prepare for the exam. She utilizes the amount received to purchase books, textbooks, pen, examination forms and the internet recharge for research. Ms. Chaurasia told that she no longer has to depend financially on her family members. She has recently applied for appointment in the labour department. She has thanked Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for providing assistance under the scheme.


Similarly, Ms. Rajalakshmi Rathore, a resident of Kashinagar Korba city, told that after completing MSc Biotechnology, she is preparing for competitive examinations to get a government job. She is planning to appear for UGC NET, teacher recruitment exam. She wants to land a good job and support her father in providing for the family. Her father is a stamp vendor, and with his limited income they hardly make their both ends meet.


        It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel transferred an amount of Rs. 32 crore 35 lakh 25 thousand online to the accounts of one lakh 5 thousand 395 beneficiaries of unemployment allowance scheme in the program organized at his residence office on May 31. Of these, 66 thousand 185 beneficiaries, to whom the amount of the first installment was issued in the month of April, were provided the second installment of Rs 16 crore 54 lakh 62 thousand 500.  And the 24 thousand 15 beneficiaries who had applied before April 30, 2023 were provided Rs 12 crore 75 thousand as the installment of unemployment allowance for both the months of April and May. Similarly, to 15 thousand 195 beneficiaries who had applied in May 2023, an amount of Rs 3 crore 79 lakh 87 thousand 500 was issued today as the first installment amount. In this way, A total amount of Rs 48 crore 89 lakh 87 thousand 500 has been released as first and second installment to the beneficiaries of Unemployment Allowance Scheme.
