Sale of eggs worth Rs. 7 lakh 93 thousand through C-Mart in Anganwadis

The Gauthans in the district are consistently striving to realize the conception of the Suraji Gaon Yojana in accordance with the intention of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. Gauthan and the multi-activity center established in the Narayanpur district are playing a significant role in fighting against malnutrition. Under the Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana, eggs are being provided for consumption in Anganwadis, and are being produced in poultry centers run by Gauthans. The Laxmi Self-Help Group in Kochwahi, Maa Durga Self-Help Group in Edka, Sai Baba Self-Help Group in Bhatpal, Sai Baba Self-Help Group in Chhotedongar, Gayatri Self-Help Group in Halamimunjmeta, and Jagruk Women’s Self-Help Group in Dumartarai are undertaking the production of eggs from layer hens. These eggs are being sold in C-Mart, from where they are being purchased by Anganwadis. So far, these groups have produced 1 lakh 44 thousand 200 eggs and sold them for Rs. 7 lakh 93 thousand. These units are currently producing 3 to 4 thousand eggs per day. The Collector, Mr. Ajeet Vasant, has given instructions to increase the production to 10 thousand eggs per day.
The women of the self-help groups, while praising the schemes launched by the state government, said that it is because of the foresightedness of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel that women in the state are emerging as entrepreneurs.
