Green fuel to be prepared from stubble, green energy investment will increase in Chhattisgarh

Bengaluru, March 26, 2025 –Industrialists have been showing increasing interest in investing in the field of green fuel in Chhattisgarh. Deepak Agarwal of GPSR Arya Pvt. Ltd. met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in a meeting held in Bengaluru and told that his company is working fast towards making Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) from stubble in the state. He said that there is a plan to set up CBG plants in various districts of Chhattisgarh, which will give additional income to the farmers from crop residues and will also reduce pollution.

The company has recently set up a CBG plant in collaboration with Indian Oil in Bemetara district, which is now fully functional. Deepak Agarwal told the Chief Minister that after the success of this project, they want to adopt the same model in other districts of Chhattisgarh as well. This initiative will promote biofuel production and strengthen the state’s participation in the field of environmentally friendly energy.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised this initiative and said that the government is fully committed to promoting green energy. He informed that under the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh, special incentives are being given for biofuel and environment-friendly projects. In this meeting, other representatives of the industry also expressed interest in investing in Chhattisgarh.
