Grand Closing Ceremony of 14th All India Police Archery Championship
Raipur, February 28, 2026// The 14th All India Police Archery Championship 2025–26, organised by Chhattisgarh Police, concluded in Durg in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai as chief guest. He welcomed players, coaches and officials from various States and Central Armed Police Forces and lauded their performance.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said police personnel are performing commendably in both law enforcement and sports.
Highlighting archery as part of the State’s tribal heritage, he said sports infrastructure is being developed in mission mode, with new facilities in Jashpur and Nava Raipur, and added that incentives for Olympic medal winners are being provided to promote sports among youth.
School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav highlighted the State’s rich tribal traditions and legacy of archery.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister honoured six top-performing teams — CISF, Rajasthan, CRPF, Uttar Pradesh, BSF and ITBP — with shields and formally declared the championship closed. Ahivara MLA Shri Domanlal Korsewada and Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam were among those present.
