NTPC Lara Ignites a Skilled Future for Local Youth

In a powerful stride towards nation-building through skill development, NTPC Lara, under its robust CSR initiative, today flagged off a batch of local youth for vocational training at CIPET, Korba, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable livelihood.

The programme was inaugurated by Sh. Subhash Thakur, Head of Project, NTPC Lara, in the august presence of Sh. Keshab Chandra Singh Roy (GM–O&M), Sh. Hemant Pawgi (GM–Projects), Sh. Jakir Khan (AGM–HR), Sh. Manish Kumar (AGM–P&S), other senior officials of NTPC, proud parents, and aspiring trainees — marking a moment of hope, opportunity, and transformation.

The three-month intensive training programme will be conducted at Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) , Korba, in the specialized trade of Assistant Machine Operator – Injection Moulding, equipping the youth with industry-relevant, future-ready skills. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, enabling participants to secure sustainable livelihood opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the industrial ecosystem.

Addressing the trainees, Sh. Subhash Thakur, HOP, NTPC Lara, delivered an inspiring message, urging the youth to embrace the training with unwavering dedication, discipline, and determination. He highlighted that skill development is not merely a pathway to employment but a tool for empowerment, self-reliance, and long-term employability.

Through such transformative CSR initiatives, NTPC Lara continues to light the way—turning aspirations into abilities and youth into skilled professionals, strengthening communities and building a resilient future by unleashing their potential , thereby powering the nation.
